Life History: The famous Bollywood playback singer “Krishnakumar Kunnath” KK was
born on 23 August 1968 in Delhi. KK sang not only for Hindi films but also for Tamil, Telugu,
Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali and Gujarati films. Before getting his break in films, he
sang about 35000 jingles.
KK did his schooling at Mount Saint Mary School in Delhi and graduated from Kirori Mal
College affiliated with Delhi University.

stairs at the hotel where he was staying after his performance at Nazrul Manch, he was
pronounced dead at the Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was one of the very first people to offer condolences on KK's death on social media. “Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti," PM Modi wrote.
